ECS is an acronym for “EC2 container service”. In simple terms, it provides a way to deploy your Docker containers over the Amazon platform on an EC2 instance or serverless(FARGATE)! ECS helps you orchestrate your containers and helps provision them. So, if you have any containers running on your local machine and you want to make them live on a public platform to become publically accessible, AWS ECS is the way to go.
